The source of the relevant passage is ambiguous. Some point to the Brihat Samhita while others suggest that it can be found in the Vishnu Purana. However the latter uses a reference notation of Vr.S.54.9 which (could expand to verse, but) sounds like it points to the Vrihat (synonymous with Brihat) Samhita.
